“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who ask you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do it with Gentleness and Respect.”- 1 Peter 3:15 Today at Church we talked about this verse. How Peter writes that we [believers] need to be ready to defend ourselves and our faith against those who may try to persecute us. Peter stresses that it is our hope and our lives that are under attack not necessarily our religious beliefs. As Christians, we are called to follow Jesus (Luke 9:23-24). That means living a life that is separate from the world. We should have a hope, peace, joy, and love that reflects that of Christ (1 Peter 2:21-25). Our lives should be radical and on fire for God. Our lives should not make sense to unbelievers or the world. That is what we are going to talk about- how are faith doesn’t make sense.
