COLLEGE!!
The times when you laugh and cry. The times when you get excited about the little things and stressed about the big thing that are really little. Where you meet some of your closest friends, and some people you'd rather not remember. The time when experiences build character, and studying is basically your best friend. Throughout my first year I have culminated so many memories and am excited to look back and share them. Recently I went on twitter and read through my feed (1. because I like to think I'm hilarious 2. why not) and ran through so many tweets that basically summed up what college is like your First year. I thought it would be fun to experience the world of Tarleton State through 140 characters or less. #Lets get started...
LEAVING HOME.. AND BEGINING A NEW JOURNEY
This is for those times when you didn't want your parents help, but now miss them everyday. Move in is the most liberating and most stressful day of the year (for parents and students). Remember let your parents help, call you, and do their "parent things", both you and them needs those memories. This for all the times things change immediately;. For when going home is weird because your school becomes your home.
FACING REALITIES OF BEING AN ADULT
This is for all those times when you realize that they were right when they said college would be expensive. You are responsible for your stuff, your classes, and yourself. (I can barely take care of plant let alone myself.) This is also for those times when 8 years of college to become a lawyer is outweighed by those "no degree" required jobs we all wanted as kids.
WHEN THE STRUGGLE IS WAY TOO REAL
This is for those times when you cried, and cried some more and you couldn't remember why. When the books, papers, and classes pile up. You thought you had it all under control in high school; *News Flash* this is college. This is for those times when you realized life is changing. This is for those times when you couldn't help but learn from your mistakes; but they made who you are today.

---- Ok as sad as this sounds, it's true. How hard is it to go into the gym and find someone not lifting a hundred pound weight? Apparently pretty hard. As much as we live to compare ourselves remember who created you. God made you in his image and died for you. Don't base your life on others opinions. LIVE YOUR LIFE.-----
----- In Texas this happens daily. In Stephenville this happen every hour.-----
THOSE LITTLE VICTORIES
This is for those times when even though your surround by bad God shined his light into your life. For those times when really dumb simple things made your day 100X times better. College is a whirlwind. As much as we tweet about the bad, we forget to tweet and remember the good. Take time to remember the good.

--- I changed majors (I know WHATT was I thinking). I thought I wouldn't be able to have lunch for like three days but God seriously works miracles and provides us with opportunities. This was definitely one of them.-----
DATING (OR ATTEMPTING TO BE CUTE AND GET GUYS TO NOTICE YOU)
This is for those times you get dressed up to show off. For the times he was a jerk and you probably (definitely) cried about it. For those times when you are too socially awkward to function. For those times your mom reminds you God has a guy in mind and to trust that- but also wants to set you up. College and dating is like NASCAR- some times you win by couple laps, sometimes you lose, you blow out a tire and have to wait for a flag, or even just crash and burn. (NASCAR is probably the reason I am still single!!)
LEARNING TRADTIONS (UNSAID RULES )
This is for those time you were prepared to sing the fight song, but not to do the dance that you never learned at duck camp. This is for all those times when you went to sporting events, homecoming, and just casual hangouts around campus. Or those times when you immersed yourself in your schools culture. Even if that mans learning to two-step. These are the things that drive school spirit and make you fall more in love with your school.
----- When you invite your non-sports friend to sporting events and they DO NOT care about being heard when yelling at the other teams.----
GETTING OUT -PARTY LIFE (NOT REALLY STUDYING IS #1)
This is for those times when you stayed in. For those times when you went out. For those times Netflix was your best friend on lonely weekends. And "chill" consist of you and a bowl of ice-cream. Partying doesn't define, being a bookworm or homebody doesn't define you. How you allow these moments to shape your life is what defines you. This is also for those times when you have to be a mom to those friends who went out and should have stayed in. # It happens to us all
FINDING YOUR PLACE AND THOSE WHO FILL YOUR HEART
This is for those times when friends became family. For those times when you knew your place, what you want to do, and who you want to do it with. For those times when the stress of class faded away. For me that is my church family. God has provided me with such a great and encouraging church: they are essential to my life. This is also for those times when your friends are like your extended family and you just have to put up with them (but you know you love them.)
**NO WORDS NEEDED- COLLEGE STUDENTS WILL UDERSTAND***
Even though college can seem overwhelming it is truly the stepping stone to who you will become later on in life. What you learn, do, and the people you meet will help you become who you were meant to be. I truly believe God has guided my experiences though college this far and I am excited to see where he leads me. And you better believe I will be documenting those moments through hashtags, pictures, and posts.
#College life { Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. -Proverbs 9:9 } Recently I reflected upon my first year of college. There is so much I loved, cherish, and want to remember. However even though the good overwhelm the bad there were still stings I wish to change. A lot of the change is one reflecting the personal choices, decisions, and influences in my life. I thought I would share the things I want to improve and impress upon my life. I want to be an inspiration to others, so you can take these words as just that: an inspiration. Change in your life should produced good.
